Support for Uruapan School Project
This was a project by the Rotary Club of Santa Paula to help provide a drainage system for the schoolyard at a school in Mexico. We provided $1,000 in funding toward this project.
Support for Swimming Instruction on Tecuena
This project is in support of a rotary project on the island of Tecuena. At the request of the parents we agreed to provide all of the island’s children with swimming instruction. The project is currently underway.
Poverty Conference
GOCARE created the first poverty conference in San Diego seven years ago. For most of the seven subsequent conferences we have provided management services with primary funding coming from Rotary District 5240 and admissions revenue. The program is now a joint project of Rotary District 5240 and the California State University, Channel Islands. We continue to be involved by providing limited programming assistance. |
